Monday – Surf report from Ruggles, RI

Taking advantage of the market closure to get in some excellent surfing at my favorite East Coast USA reef, Ruggles, RI.  Waves are roaring, but the rips are a bitch. Sorry about the poor video, but we’re lucky someone caught us.

Since the markets were closed thought I’d show a year’s worth of the SPX Alphahorn Swing System.  We typically zoom in for a better feel of the present, but here’s a nice wide angle view of the past 12 months of signals for the SPX.  As you’ll see, I’ve added a new indicator, a barrier/band within my wider red/green barrier.  I’ve been experimenting with it, and will talk more about it soon.  Let’s see what the markets have in store.  There’s a possibility that the ending diagonal was the end of wave 3, and the subsequent bounce wave 4, leaving another small move down to finish wave (4) under the primary count.  Below 1385 I’m looking for wave 2 of (3) under the alternative count.

I’ve worked for a number of investment banks including Smith Barney and First Boston/C S First Boston in New York. Over the years, I have developed my own Proprietary Swing System and I combine that System with my own Elliott Wave Analysis to trade.
