Weekend Update: YTD +21% Another good year @ Alphahorn.com

In spite of the asleep at the wheel Energy long, we’re having another good year at Alphahorn.com. In a year where most hedge funds are struggling (Ray Dalio’s incredibly down more than 4% this year, others are struggling to reach 10%, average +7.2%), we’re cruising along again with over 20% returns. Our Portfolio has grown from $100,000 in 2011 to over $762,000 today speaks to our year in and year out consistency. The Alphahorn Swing System continues on sell/short Signals for Real Estate, Gold, Silver and Miners and on long/buy Signals for the remainder of equities: SPX, DOW, Nasdaq, Russell, Semiconductors and Energy.

The wave counts continue along on schedule. The blue bullish count is that minute wave [iii] of minor wave 3 of intermediate wave (3) is subdividing. Minuette wave (iv) should be underway and we would expect it to reach the fourth wave of lesser degree, which also would coincide with an expected re-test of the broken ascending triangle neckline. The bearish red count is that intermediate wave (3) of an ending diagonal is topping or has topped and a pullback in intermediate wave (4) is expected. The pullback under the bearish scenario should be deeper than the pullback expected per the blue bullish count.

The daily Renko chart below has shown a reliable wave count all along the way for Cycle Wave 1. It shows the macro view of the bullish blue count above.

The big picture bearish count is shown below. Intermediate wave (3) of [5] is topping and a pullback in (4) is due before the final push up to complete Cycle Wave 1. Everyone have a good week of trading, we’ll see you with our next update Monday night.
